Historique :	Tableau réalisé par Rose d'Arquinvilliers vers 1840, attribué par l'Etat en 1842 à l'abbaye Saint-Martin de Pontoise. Le tombeau de Saint Gautier existe encore : il a été transféré dans l'église Notre-Dame vers le milieu du 19e siècle. Dans la nef de Notre-Dame, un vitrail, réalisé au début du 20e siècle, représente le même sujet.

Précision sur_l'état :	Tableau restauré en 2000 par Catherine Lascroux.
Précision_sur la representation :	Saint Louis et Marguerite de Provence, son épouse (et sans doute pas Blanche de Castille), sont agenouillés devant le tombeau de saint Gautier, premier abbé de l'abbaye de Saint-Martin de Pontoise, fondée au 11e siècle. A l'arrière, une assemblée d'hommes debout portant des cierges, probablement des moines de l'abbaye, assistent à l'homélie d'un évêque. Face au spectateur, un enfant de choeur tient un encensoir. Sur le dallage sont posés une cassolette et un brûle-parfum. Les personnages en costumes du Moyen Age et le portail gothique ouvrant par un arc en accolade évoquent la peinture de style troubadour.
