Historique :	Le peintre Louis Berthomé-Saint-André (1905-1977) a été l'élève de Cormon à l'Ecole des Beaux Arts et de l'atelier Pierre Laurens ; il est surtout peintre de figures ainsi que décorateur et lithographe.

Précision_sur la representation :	Le groupe principal représente un jeune homme presque nu à la peau verte à qui deux jeunes femmes remettent une couronne de fleurs et un collier de feuilles. De part et d'autre d'une allée d'eau peuplée de poissons, figurent plusieurs jeunes femmes et un jeune homme : à droite, l'une porte un bouquet de fleurs, l'autre deux pigeons ; à gauche, l'une observe la scène de couronnement au travers d'un arbuste, les trois autres conversent à l'écart. Le lac avec des ombres portées très sombres est placé à droite du paysage.
