Description :	La composition en longueur est découpée sur les côtés inférieurs. Les couleurs principales sont composées de tons bleus-gris, beiges et orangés. Le style s'inspire d'une technique qui rappelle le cubisme, mais reste très décoratif et lisible.

Historique :	Jacques Despierre (1912-1995) est auteur notamment de plusieurs fresques de paquebots, de mosaïques pour lycées et établissements sportifs, de cartons de tapisseries, de cartons de vitraux. Il a succédé à Gromaire comme chef de l'atelier d'art monumental de l'Ecole nationale supérieure des Arts décoratifs.
