Précision_sur la representation :	La sainte femme agenouillée porte la main droite à la poitrine, le bras gauche en retrait le long du corps, dans un geste d'acceptation ou d'étonnement. La première interprétation pourrait faire songer à une Vierge de l'Annonciation, mais l'attitude offre trop d'analogie avec celle de la sainte femme du Noli me tangere pour ne pas reconnaître là Marie de Magdala devant le Christ ressuscité qu'elle a d'abord pris pour le jardinier. L'oeuvre est traitée avec beaucoup de conscience, mais d'une manière très académique. Robe serrée à la taille, manteau largement ouvert, attaché par un fermail sur la poitrine. Aux pieds, des crépides. La tête est couverte d'un voile sur des cheveux ondés. Le visage, sans grande expression, a une régularité classique (catalogue d'exposition).
