Observations :	Fiche CAOA et photographie manquante à la MPP. Se renseigner auprès de la Conservation des antiquités et des objets d'art.
Précision sur_l'état :	La partie inférieure du corps, qui était très abîmée, a retrouvé une cohérence. Restes de polychromie.
Précision_sur la representation :	Le saint n'a pour vêtement qu'une sorte de tunique étroite et le fameux manteau en peau de chameau, qu'il porte le poil en dedans. Ce manteau, en partie rejeté sur le bras gauche, suivant la formule connue, est suspendu à une corde nouée sur l'épaule. du même coté. Le haut du corps reste a demi découvert. La main droite désigne l'agneau couché sur le livre, dans la main gauche. La tête, au visage allongé, amaigri, sans beaucoup d'expression, est garnie d'une barbe courte et d'une chevelure frisée. Le profil est presque droit, à la grecque, comme celui du Christ qui précède. Nous allons retrouver ce détail en même temps qu'une certaine sécheresse de facture générale, dans la statue de la Prudence. Ce saint Jean-Baptiste porte les traces d'un long séjour à l'extérieur.
