Précision sur_l'état :	Restauration effectuée en 1985 par Marie-Lys de Castelbajac : restitution de la polychromie ancienne sous le badigeon gris. La statue est présentée sous une vitrine.
Précision_sur la representation :	Le saint est debout présentant sur l'avant-bras gauche un livre ouvert. La direction du bras droit et la main indique qu'il tenait en position basse un attribut disparu, peut-être un gril (ce qui pourrait faire reconnaître saint Laurent). Le visage est juvénile, la chevelure rase sur le dessus du crâne, est disposée en couronne ondulée autour de la tête, dégageant toutefois les oreilles. Costume liturgique du diacre : une aube dont les plis parallèles s'écrasent au sol et dont les manches forment sur l'avant-bras une série de plis en anneaux ; une dalmatique rouge à franges, fendue sur les côtés, et dont les manches couvrent la partie supérieure des bras ; une courte étole en palette (refaite) pend au bras gauche et le col d'amict plissé apparaît à l'encolure (Roland Vasseur).
