Précision_sur la representation :	Debout, jambe gauche légèrement avancée, genou fléchi, sainte Anne est vêtue d'une robe longue serrée à la taille. Elle porte un voile retombant sur les épaules et une guimpe qui fait de nombreuses fronces comme pour cacher un cou d'une longueur démesurée... Un pan de son manteau est rejeté sur le bras gauche tandis que la droite entoure les épaules de la Vierge. Celle-ci est vêtue d'une robe longue au col rond, dégageant les chaussures à bout carré. Elle tient le livre de la main droite et montre le texte de la main gauche ; elle esquisse un mouvement de recul en levant sa tête vers sa mère comme pour l'interroger (comme l'indique l'expression de son visage mi-étonné, mi-interrogatif). Une série de plis de son manteau tournés vers la droite en oblique accentue son attitude.
