Précision_sur la representation :	Sainte Anne, assise sur un fauteuil dont apparaît le dossier, pose la main gauche sur le livre ouvert qu'elle tient sur ses genoux et dont elle désigne une page. La Vierge, debout à ses côtés, soutient le livre d'une main en esquissant un geste d'écriture (stylet absent). La robe de sainte Anne, à col ample et manches étroites à plis 'en boudins' laisse à peine apparaître le bout des chaussures. Elle est drapée dans un manteau au flot croisé sur les genoux avec recherche dans les plis (notamment la curieuse corolle écrasée au-dessus du coude). Le manteau forme voile distribué en plis tuyautés autour du visage enserré dans une guimpe à peine esquissée. La Vierge porte une robe tombant droit au-dessus des chevilles avec un manteau rejeté en arrière comme une cape d'écolier à plis tuyautés. Ses longs cheveux lâchés dans le dos sont retenus par un tour de tête. Ce groupe présente tout la saveur d'un art populaire : facture grossière des traits, grosses mains, maladresses des proportions ; raideur et cependant consonance familière des attitudes (Roland Vasseur).
