Historique :	Bateau construit en 1951 aux Chantiers navals franco-belges de Villeneuve-la-Garenne. Ces derniers, établis à Villeneuve-la-Garenne en 1918, succédaient alors aux établissements Rarchaert (fondés en 1880), puis aux Chantiers navals du Nord et aux Chantiers Vandenbossche (1898). Ces chantiers construisent les péniches pour l'exposition des Arts décoratifs de 1925. Ils lancent le premier convoi poussé fluvial d'Europe. Un dispositif breveté permet à ces convois d'épouser les sinuosités du fleuve et de franchir sans dommage une petite houle. Se spécialisant dans le matériel de dragage et de travaux publics, ils construisent des dragues suceuses qui sont adoptées par les ports de mer (Source : site internet de la ville de Villeneuve-la-Garenne).
