Précision_sur la representation :	Le Christ, enveloppé du linceul, plane dans le ciel lumineux. Son corps allongé et son visage au regard fixe expriment la gloire et la puissance. A gauche l'ange debout aux cheveux blonds et bouclés tient avec force le couvercle du tombeau. Face à l'ange, à droite un soldat debout, casqué et en armure, a saisi une lance. Apeuré, il regarde Jésus ressuscité et pose la main sur son compagnon assis et encore endormi près de ses armes. Les personnages sont réunis sur un seul plan rapproché, sans perspective et leurs grandes lignes forment une composition qui s'inscrit dans un ovale, proche d'une mise en scène théâtrale.
