Historique :	Cette peinture aurait pu être attribuée à Gaspard Dughet, mais celui-ci plaçait rarement des personnages dans ses paysages, comme c'est le cas dans ce tableau, où sont visibles un homme et une femme. Par contre, Francisque Millet, qui constitue une autre hypothèse d'attribution, mêlait paysages et personnages.
