Historique :	Ecole française. Le Père André Duval (1564-1638), docteur en théologie à la Sorbonne, administra l'extrême onction à la Bienheureuse Marie de l'Incarnation le 18 avril 1618. La tradition veut que ce tableau représente avec fidélité les soeurs qui entouraient Marie de l'Incarnation lors de sa mort. On peut ainsi identifier Mère Agnès de Jésus des Lyons (à droite), mère Jeanne de Jésus Séguier (qui tient la croix), soeur Marie du Saint-Sacrement de Marillac, Mère Marie de Saint-Joseph Fournier (qui tient le livre des agonisants et préside la communauté en tant que prieure du moment).
