Description :	Statuette acéphale, personnage féminin tenant dans ses mains un livre ouvert. Dos plat bûché, trace de fixation à la base.

Historique :	Statuette attribuée à Jean de Liège. Objet trouvé dans les fouilles de la salle capitulaire qui abritait plusieurs tombeaux. Provient peut-être, avec le fragment de remplage retrouvé à la même occasion, d'un important monument funéraire sculpté (non documenté et dont il ne reste plus rien). C'est à ce sculpteur, Jean de Liège, que l'on doit les gisants de Charles IV le Bel (1372) et de Jeanne d'Evreux, qui étaient autrefois dans l'église abbatiale de Maubuisson (aujourd'hui au musée du Louvre).
