Historique :	La bienheureuse Marie de l'Incarnation était Madame Acarie. Cette statue faisait partie du mausolée élevé par M. de Marillac, garde des sceaux, avec l'aide financière de Louis XIII et de Marie de Médicis, en 1626, pour recevoir les restes de la Bse Marie de l'Incarnation (Madame Acarie) morte au carmel de Pontoise le 18 avril 1618. Le mausolée fut détruit en 1793. Seules les deux statues de marbre blanc, identiques, qui se trouvaient l'une dans le couvent, l'autre dans la chapelle hors clôture, furent sauvées. La seconde statue se trouve au carmel de Créteil.
