Historique :	Cette statue de saint Christophe était présentée en pendant d'une statue de sainte Barbe en bois polychromé du 16e siècle (non protégée au titre MH), volée suite à sa mise à l'abri lors de travaux de consolidation du clocher, en 1904-1905, cf. notice Mémoire : https://www.pop.culture.gouv.fr/notice/memoire/APMH045800

Informations relatives aux vols :	Oeuvre volée entre le 12 et le 13 novembre 1973. En 2017, la sculpture est identifiée dans une vente aux enchères à Francfort en Allemagne. Retirée de la vente grâce à une coopération policière internationale, elle est restituée à la commune en 2018. Sa restauration est commanditée par la commune de Cergy, avec le soutien de la DRAC Île-de-France. La statue restaurée réintègre son église d’origine et est dévoilée au public lors des journées du patrimoine le 19 septembre 2020.
